Industrial Rehab

Industrial Rehab in Maryland, Virginia and the D.C. Area

Statistics prove that proactive, functionally oriented rehabilitation can improve the function of the injured worker and save costs for the employer. Our own research at REHAB AT WORK shows we get real results. We offer many services that are designed to smoothly transition the injured worker from evaluation to treatment, and ultimately provide a safe return to work

Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE)

This evaluation safely and objectively determines the injured worker’s capabilities in 3 main areas: Musculoskeletal Level, Functional Level, & Worker Performance.

Work Hardening/Work Conditioning Program

Work Hardening is a “highly structured, goal oriented, individualized intervention program designed to return a person back to work”. Work Conditioning “is a work related, intensive, goal oriented treatment program designed to restore an individual’s systemic, neuro-musculoskeletal (strength, endurance, movement, flexibility, and motor control) and cardiopulmonary functions”. Our program utilizes real or simulated work activities designed to restore physical, behavioral, and vocational functions. The program follows a FCE and address the deficit areas in musculoskeletal, functional, and worker performance.

Pre-Employment Screen

Functional testing is done at the time of an employment offer. It is used to screen the potential employee for his or her ability to perform the critical physical job demands of the position.

Post-FCE Job Match Assessment

This report is produced after an injured worker has completed an FCE and now has a possible job offer. We will analyze the FCE information and determine if the critical demands of the potential job are within the injured workers’ functional capacity at the time of the evaluation.
